Janus is located just one block from one of California’s most beautiful beaches in a place of scenic beauty that encourages healing and growth for both body and mind. Our setting is also conducive to outdoor recreation, which plays an important part in the Janus residential treatment programs.
A private nonprofit organization founded in 1976, Janus is respected as one of Central California’s most successful substance abuse treatment facilities. We are open to anyone.

Janus is easily reached from surrounding locations. We are 70 miles south of San Francisco, 35 miles east of San Jose and approximately 40 miles north of Monterey and Carmel.
