As a lifelong resident of Santa Cruz, Courtney Montgomery is driven by her commitment to caring for underserved residents in the community and challenging the stigma surrounding medication-assisted treatment and harm reduction methods. Her primary focus is to revolutionize addiction treatment delivery locally, regionally, and nationally, particularly addressing opioid use disorders in marginalized populations.
Courtney earned her bachelor’s degree at San José State University and graduate degree from UC San Francisco. She is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Certified Addiction Registered Nurse-Advance Practice (CARN-AP), and Medical Services Director. She leverages her personal experience with 12-step recovery and harm-reduction practices, ensuring a holistic and supportive approach to addiction treatment.
