Dean values connection, authenticity, collaboration, social justice, and anti-racism and strives to give his clients a safe place to be themselves and achieve their goals. Dean’s approach to therapy is person-centered, gender-affirming, strength based, and trauma informed. He firmly believes that clients are the experts of their own experiences and his role is to guide and support them through the therapeutic process. Dean partners with his clients to find an approach that best meets their needs, often including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques. Dean earned his Master of Counseling from Palo Alto University and has recently passed his boards to be fully licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Dean is a strong advocate for his clients and feels that it is a privilege to be a part of their journey.
